The reason I chose to write a research paper on King Tut is because he is one of the most well known pharaohs of ancient Egypt. Tutankhamun is most well known only by the discovery of his intact tomb in 1922 by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon. King Tut was born in 1343 B.C. into the 18th Dynasty.King Tutankhamen tomb was one of the greatest finds in Ancient Egyptian history. King Tut’s tomb was discovered by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon on November 4th, 1922. Carter had to break down a brick wall with a shovel just to get to the tomb itself. King Tut was not buried alone. Underneath the wrapped body was his two stillborn children.Akhenaten(King Tut’s father) birthday is unknown, but he died in 1335 BC.
